Sims Lifecycle Services, formerly RecommIT Limited, provides an environmental service for the disposal of surplus and redundant ICT equipment. We meet all of the requirements of the Hazardous Waste Regulations and exceed the targets imposed by the EU Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive.

Sims Lifecycle Services is:

• a government contractor, qualified to handle classified data and the provision of IT support services
• licensed by the Environment Agency for Waste Management and the Carriage of Waste
• ICER accredited for WEEE Refurbishing and Recycling
• ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System) registered
  

Sims Lifecycle Services is at the forefront in providing:

• a total "One Stop Shop" solution for surplus ICT equipment in the public, commercial and private sectors.
• Bespoke collections tailored to meet customer's requirements - including on-site audit, porterage and transport services for both the rolling out and installation of new equipment, office moves and the aggregation and removal of surplus or redundant items.
• Sanitisation (purging) of data using approved methods to strict Government standards - including protectively marked or otherwise highly sensitive data requiring special facilities and handling procedures.
• Disposal of ICT and electronic waste, including toners, unlicensed software and other media in an environmentally sound manner in line with approved Codes of Practice and current European and Government legislation.
• Audit trail from collection through to re-use/disposal.
• Sale of refurbished computers, monitors, printers and other IT and communications equipment.
